Captcha not stopping submissions

Using on comment form. Native wp comment form.

The captcha box is there, but if you select ‘submit’ on the comment form without clicking on the captcha, the comment form still submits the comment. The page refreshes and says “ERROR: Please retry CAPTCHA”, but the comment is still submitted.

Any thoughts?

I just installed today as this was the most recommended recaptcha plugin for WP and I didn’t have time to write my own. Really hoping you might know what the issue is.

It doesn’t seem to skip your recaptcha protocols everytime, but it does allow the non-verified comments to go through approximately 50% of the time.
