    Hi

As soon as we set up a registration form on our site, spammers find it and register already. We could really avoid this by having a captcha not only on second registration of the same email, but already a human control in the beginning, with new emails.
Why does the MP plugin not allow configuring always-captcha out of the box?
If not planned to made possible, how could we permanently do it with Google? I assume it will currently always only work on second registration, even with Google reCaptcha.

    Thanks
    Carsten

    Hi @shonu,

The built-in Mailpoet captcha doesn’t block the first attempt for most legitimate customers, but if they try to subscribe twice, they will have to confirm they’re not a bot.

Google ReCAPTCHA also checks the first signup attempts so it’s proved to be more effective against targeted bot attacks.

Here you can see more details on adding Google ReCAPTCHA to your subscriptions forms.

    I hope this helps!
