Captcha image not displaying

The captcha image is never actually saved anywhere.

It is a caching issue — WP Engine caches *very* aggressively by default (which breaks a lot of plugins that need to generate different output each time).

Because the form code is cached… so is the URL for the captcha — thus it does’t match what’s calculated on the backend.

For now, you’ll need to have WP Engine disable caching on pages with Salesforce Web to Lead Forms (or turn off the captcha feature).

I’ll see if there’s a way to route around their aggressive caching, but a fix may take a bit.

Okay, thank you very much for replying with a possible solution on the horizon, but the problems are also that
1) the form is on every page (in the sidebar); and
2) someone is submitting the form with bogus info very often.
We can disable caching completely, but speeding up WP was a big reason for switching to WPengine.

1) Yeah, that’s one downside to WP Engine’s binary caching solution.

2) I’ve put a fix on the wish list ??
