Captcha doesn’t show image / how to remove Captcha

When I enter simple captcha wrong on purpose and submit the form, all entered data is lost without any feedback to the user.

We suggest you using reCAPTCHA feature, which will not cause any problems. Also note, that it is a more secure than simple captcha.

Hi – I am having the same problem with a captcha image not displaying in a CFM v. 1.12.10 form in WP 4.9.1.

I have tried disabling all other plugins, but still cannot get the Captcha image to display properly.

Preferably, I would like to upgrade the existing form to reCaptcha. Can you point me to documentation for how to do this please?

or how to repair the form so the captcha image displays properly?

Please delete the captcha field from your form and add the reCaptcha field.
Form Maker is integrated with Google ReCaptcha, which protects your forms from spambots. You need to configure Public and Private Keys by registering your website on Google ReCaptcha website.

After registering and creating the keys, copy them to Form Maker > Options page.

Yes, that is what I am asking for – please can you point me to how I can edit the existing form?

It exists as form embedded, and when I go to Pages and click edit on the form the only thing that is visible is the form id tag [contact_form id=”13″].

Please go to Form Maker > Forms > find the form with the Id=”13″. Here you can edit and update the form. Please after that refresh the page and find the updated form.

I do recommend fixing it or dumping it when it is not needed.
Keeping it broken is maybe not a good option :/

The Simple Catpcha globally is working correctly. However, there could be a Javascript conflict between your website theme and Simple Captcha functions. That’s why we suggest you using the ReCaptcha feature.
