I’m using Forminator to help people go through a checkout process on my website. I’m having problems when trying to accept payments through forms that are protected via v3 ReCaptcha. When someone attempts to check out, it displays the error “Error! Something went wrong during checkout and payment couldn’t be approved.”

Now, it should be noted that they can still usually check out, provided they see that the checkout popup has appeared (in case of paypal checkout) or know to scroll down to see the expanded form for debit and credit cards, depending on which checkout button they clicked. But this is a bad experience. I’m going to have to disable the v3 ReCaptcha for now in order to accept orders.

I would love to see ReCaptcha and Paypal integration work in the same form.

    Hi @masonwolf

    I hope you’re well today!

We are aware of this issue already and our developers are working on the fix.

I don’t have ETA yet but most likely the fix would be included in 1.33 release.

Until then, switching to hCaptcha as an alternative should help.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi @masonwolf

We didn’t hear back from you for quite some time already so I’m marking this as resolved for now.

If you have any additional questions, let us know and we’ll be happy to get back to you.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hello,
I have recently installed version 1.33 of forminator and I still have the same problem as with the previous version. The problem remains unsolved. In payment forms that include a recaptcha v3 field, when I press the paypal button I get the error “Error! something went wrong during checkout and payment couldn’t be approved”. I beg, please, strongly, to fix it as soon as possible. If not, I will have to reconsider using another plugin to create the forms. It is essential that they are protected with recaptcha or give me another solution that does not require user interaction as happens with recaptcha v2 or hcaptcha since if the capthca expires or expires the payment cannot be completed and it damages the user experience a little.
I am looking forward to your response.
    Thank you so much.

    Hi @snb8

I hope you are doing well.

Unfortunately, we had to move this to Forminator 1.36, our team already started to work on the 1.34 but we can’t give an ETA yet for the 1.36, you can subscribe to our roadmap on: https://wpmudev.com/roadmap/

    Best Regards
