Captach Does Not Work

Installed plugin yesterday and when i visited my admin login page the captach appeared, but when I entered the captacha code it kept saying incorrect then locked out for 10mins after 5 attempts.
After 10 mins tried again, but same thing happened and locked out for 30 mins.
Everytime I was asked for captcha code it was entered correctly and exactly how it was displayed. Even had another person take a look and enter captach code.
I would have uploaded screen captures but am unable to.
In the end I had to login to my web hosting account and delete the plugin from plugin file administration to be able to login to site dashboard area without the captach.
Is there a known bug at the moment or something?
