I have installed Capability Manager Enhanced plugin to control Dashboard access for Authors. After assigning Capabilities for Author role, I logged in as an Author and the back-end Dashboard has successfully blocked features as set in Capability Manager. However the capability features has not applied control for 3-4 plugin / features. I still see the following:

    • Comments
    • Contact (Contact 7 Plugin)
    • Profile
    • Tools
    • Soliloquy (Slider Plugin)

Please let me know how I can block / control these features and plugins.

WordPress displays the Comments and Tools menus if the logged user has the edit_posts capability. You can use an Admin customization plugin like Adminimize to hide them per-role.

Likewise for blocking access to the other plugin’s menus. But to grant additional access to them you would need to contact the plugin authors.
