capability for adding featured image

  • Hi
    our Authors cant add media (not upload – just add to the post) and cant add a featured image.
    Strange is: They can add “featured image 2” , “featured image 3” and so on (We are using the Theme “Avada” and that offers 5 featured images)

    Our capabilities are:
    – edit posts
    -read
    -read private posts
    -read private pages

    I do not find any capabilities which might have something to do with media.

    I dont want to give the capability of “upload files” but i want that an author can use all the files which already are in the media library

    Can you help us with that?
