Capabilities for Custom Post not behaving with Revisions

    I have revisions, permissions & notifications installed to setup a workflow for a custome role, Member:

    – an author submits a new post or a revision for a Post; or an update for revision of a published ACF Custom post, Chamber Members
    – notification email is sent to a reviewer role
    – review and publish is done by trole

    For Posts, it is working beautifully:

    • the capabilities are Edit, Create and Edit Published
    • The Post is submitted for review whether created or edited

    For the custom post type, Chamber Members, the Member role can only edit, but it is Updating the post rather than reviewing

    • the capabilities are Edit and Edit Published
    • We need it to submit for review however it is updating the post without review

    If I remove the Edit capability, the Chamber Members custom post is not available for the Member role at all.

    What do I need to change to get Submit for Review to work for the custom post please?

    Hi @technologyrocks. Thanks for using the PublishPress plugins.

    Sorry, it’s difficult to debug a setup like this from outside the site.

    It might be worth trying this with another post type such as Pages. Does this workflow work for other post types? If so, that narrows it down to an issue with this specific custom post type.
