Cap on overlapping reservations?

    I am assuming that the option “Accept overlapped reservations” means a date can be booked by more than one party. We have 4 campsites, so on any given date can have 4 renters. Checking “Accept overlapped reservations” lets a date be booked more than once, which is great, but how can we put a cap on that so that no one books a date for a fifth time? Thanks for any help with this.

    Hi,

    The option “Accept overlapped reservations” will allow unlimited booking until manually closed those dates.

    You can close/block dates by using the calendar that appears in the settings page.

    I hope you will consider including the option to cap number of reservations made for any given date in a future version! ??

    We have discussed this plugin and keep coming back to the problem of this missing feature, not being able to cap number of bookings per space per day.

    Do you understand how this would be so important? Since booking is automatic in all other respects, we could have people booking campsites in excess of our capacity and and not realize it until after the fact – so we didn’t block the date manually – then we find ourselves in the awkward and time-consuming position of having to contact guests to reschedule. Or if we never notice a day has been overbooked until that day, then we are in the even more awkward position of guests arriving with no place to stay. We are in a remote area of Arizona, with few other choices for redundantly booked guests.

    Adding the option to set a cap on how many bookings can occur for a space per day would be an extremely useful add-on!

    We really like everything else about your plug-in, but this is a critical omission in its functionality for us.

    Thank you for the feedback. Yes, we agree that it (set specific capacity) is a needed feature and we will be working to add it in a plugin update. Sorry for the late.

    Thank you! I’m going to keep keep your plugin installed but not activated on our site, and check version details periodically.

    We also want to be able to ask a range in payment area – as this is a 501c3 nonprofit, and we ask for donations. If you will be able to add the cap and payment range features in a future version, we will definitely want to activate and use your excellent plugin!
