canvas sizing vs. slider panel size
-
Brilliant slider. Been looking at a lot of sliders and this one has a lot going for it. Love the basic concept of it and the nicely designed features.
But I am not getting the concept behind the canvas. I don’t understand how to lay stuff out on the canvas so it looks as I’d like on the actual live site.
Issue is how does the size of the canvas relate to the size of the actual slider panels that gets displayed? On my screen in default mode, the canvas shows as ~1325px x 400px. The slider panel on live site shows as max width 890px x 400px where width is controlled by my theme and height is controlled by your CSS. In narrowing down the slider panel width from 1325 to 890, plugin appears to be both scaling and cropping.
So then I tried resizing my screen to adjust the canvas size to be exactly same width as the slider panels are supposed to be – i.e., 890px wide. This seemed to work pretty well – but it is tedious and imprecise to size canvas exactly right each time I want to edit something. And it doesn’t allow me to change panel height (which is addressed in another thread).
Can you clarify how this is supposed to work (canvas sizing vs. panel sizing)? Is there a way to set the height and width of the canvas to match size of panels on live site? If not, what would be involved in making them configurable and would you be open to implementing such change? (I’m not a programmer, but would be willing to sponsor.)
Thank you.
