Can’t we add sidebars to an AMP site and display Ads?

    I’m using AMP plugin on my WordPress Blog site. I’m using the WordPress Twenty Twenty theme and AMP Standard mode. Can I add sidebars to my Blog to play Ads to earn extra?
    If yes, Can you suggest the best method or any plugins useful?

  • Thanks for reaching out. If you’re looking to add sidebars to your Twenty Twenty theme you could create a child theme in order to do so. I can’t be sure of whether this would have any benefit on ad performance the although the product experts at the AdSense Help Center should be able to assist. Providing you have sufficient content the AdSense platform can place ads in between the paragraphs and across various positions, regardless of whether you’re using a sidebar.

    Good question. While I don’t have any individual recommendation did you check some of the listed compatible themes at amp-wp.org? They’re are numerous options, some which include sidebar features or configurations.
