Can’t view post category page

  • I’m having a strange issue with all of my post category pages. In the navigation on the front page of https://sonorcanada.com you will see “artists” and “news”.

    Both of these are post category pages (they just list all the posts in that category) When I click on these links I am brought back to the home page. The same thing happens if I try to open these pages from the WordPress back-end. I can see in the left hand corner of my browser that the URL is correct, but for some reason I am being re-directed. I have no idea why. Could anyone give me some insight?

    Try re-saving your permalink structure at Admin panel>>>Settings>>>Permalinks. Sometimes, that works if it is a simple db issue. WordPress will either create/rebuild the .htaccess file. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file( if it is not writable), then WordPress will provide manual instructions after saving the correct block of code so that you can manually add it to your .htaccess file.     Hmm.. strangely enough this worked for the news category page (english and french) and the french artists category page.. but not the english artists category page.

    Edit: Another note, setting permalinks to plain also does not fix the issue.
