can't verify my website!please help..

I can’t seem to verify my account…I’ve tried so many things & ways..my URL is: https://www.lifewithwagner.com. I’ve gone under appearance then editor and tried to paste my meta tag under section 4.1 where it says header…nothing. I’ve gone in through settings to google webmaster tools and hit verify that way but still nothing. I’m using the twenty thirteen template. I’ve also deleted the wordpress cache b/c wordpress said that may be preventing me from verifying. I’m so new to this all and my head is spinning. Does anyone have a clue of what I’m not doing correctly??..
