Can't Verify

  • I can’t verify with Google.

    I am the admin on an existing site that was moved to WP-Engine. I had verification and analytics until the move and template change.

    I tried Google Analytics for WordPress. It shows up for authorized access in my Google account. I see the code and the correct property ID in downloaded source code, in the header. Verify fails. Repeated the process, still fails.

    I am now trying Google Analyticator. Same issues. I have deleted the site from Webmasters Tools and reentered. Still will not verify.

    I added the Google supplied meta tag to just before the </head> tag. Still, won’t verify.

    Webmasters confirms the property ID and that I am administrator.
