Can't use Visual editor in a post

  • Hi All,
    I am unable to use the visual editor tab at all when I do a post, and when using the text editor, it sometimes does its own thing, for example, if I make a list, it will swap around the code so the list doesn’t look right??

    I have read up on the forums about previous problems which are like mine, and have tried:

    • Have read 3.5 Master list
    • changing to twenty eleven
    • editing post, clearing cache (several times)
    • I have deactivated all plugins so none are working at the moment.

    I am finally at the manual upgrading stage, am hesitant because I don’t want to lose my website, so am building up the courage to do this part.

    But am wondering if a solution to this problem has already been found?

  • HELP! I’m brand new to WordPress, am working with a site that has a Custom Theme so I don’t want to mess anything up. Yesterday, I was editing a page and a post and the Visual editor worked just FINE. Today, I go back to clean up those same two things and now all of a sudden the Visual Editor tab is disabled??

    I did go and check my Profile and that “disable visual editor button” was NOT checked.

    Can someone PLEASE direct me to how to fix this, because without my Visual tab, I’m LOST ??
