can’t upload things with Chinese File Name

  • I can’t upload any file with Chinese file name with the wp uploader.

    my wp is fresh installed. I am using Windows to host the wp and it works fine with uploading english file name.

    I tried to set the encoding to BIG5 or UTF-8 and no luck.

    I am using Traditional Chinese characters.

    here is some Chinese words : 測試

    anyone who is working in wp may rename a file to this Chinese name and upload it, and the problem occur.

    no body can help ?

    I really want to get this work, as those file name is telling what they are, and can’t replaced with english..

    I just want to type this chinese words on the wp and let it find those things out, please someone help me.

    You can instead upload the file with English name and use title and alt tags to display the Chinese text.
