When I try to add new media in 3.8 if I use the browsers built in uploader I get the following: https://leanmansystem.com/wp-admin/media-new.php – ‘Page requested could not be found’. If I switch to the multifile uploader I get ‘http error’. This has only happened since upgrading to version 3.8. Do I need to change a setting somewhere, and if so, how do I do this? thanks in advance. Gary

  • I had a similar issue. The message was “Error – An error occurred. Try again later.” In reading another thread, the suggestion was made to disable all plugins and try it. That worked for me. It continues to work now that all the plugins have been reactivated.

Thanks very much I upgraded two plugins to 3.8 (jet pack and SEO) and this seems to have resolved the problem so it must have been an issue with plugins.

@geraldsfuller, have you resolved your own?

    Yes.

Since I upgraded to Word Press version 3.8 all of my posts pictures are gone! Well, this happens every time I update to a newer version. My theme is Twenty Eleven.

My photos in my posts are not showing. I tried with deactivating and activating all the plugins but no luck. I upload media (pictures) in to my individual posts and it works. But after saving the changes it still doesn’t show the pictures in the post.

I am very new with this and I like it very simple. So are there specific plugins that we need?! If yes what are those? Maybe I am using a plugin that doesn’t allow me after a version update to safe my media.

@susannagirolamo – See my post above yours and please start your own thread.

Similar problems, just tried deactivating all plugins and it worked. Reactivating one by one showed it is the WPML language plugin that was causing the problem. Hope that helps!
