If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
]]>I disabled the plugins one at a time, the upload issue persisted, the Health Check said, “The optional module, fileinfo, is not installed, or has been disabled,” I searched that, went into cPanel and changed the php to 7.4, and had to select the extension fileinfo. I logged out, cleared the cache, logged in again…the issue persists.
Is it now a hosting issue? Everything else with WP works.
]]>Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
