Cant Upload images with Clean (English) filenames WordPress

  • I am facing this strange issue – I cant upload images with clean file names in wordpress media library.
    i can upload a image and everything works fine if the filename is in numbers e.g. 12321.jpg
    but if i rename the same file to good-image.jpg and then upload it, the file gets uploaded but i see a blank grey thumbnail, even the attachment page is blank, however i do see the image when i edit it.

    i have tried everything available on the internet. please help

  • Could be a problem with one of your plugins. Did you try disabling all?

    I had the same issue months ago when doing a migration for a client’s WordPress website to a new hosting. The images can be seen on the front-end of the new website with the proper image URLs. The wp-content folder has all the images too. However, on Admin Media Library there’s no images. So what I did was re-did the whole migration process and it works fine.

    Hey i have already tried, updating permissions, relocating upload folder, clearing cache, disabling plugins, checking wp-config and htaccess …everything seems fine…ive tried every trick available on the internet. here are the images

    Did you try to install a fresh WordPress on the same webspace? Does the error persist?
