Can’t upload images using mobile or tablet

Hi I have been in touch with the WordPress.com support team about my issue which is I can’t upload images to the media library & woocommerce when using a mobile or tablet device and this has started affecting my business as my sellers are facing the same issue. WordPress acknowledged the issue was coming from them however told me it isn’t due to be fixed until the next update from WP .org – is this going to be a long way off as I have had this issue for weeks now and it’s stopping my business functioning properly. Everyone I speak to doesn’t seem to treat it with much urgency but being able to upload images with products is essential for my business to function.
