Can’t Upload Images to WordPress Media Library – Previously Worked, Now Broken

    I’m experiencing an issue where I can no longer upload new images to my WordPress media library. Previously, everything worked fine, but now every time I try to upload an image, it appears as a broken image or didn’t show at all.

    Steps I’ve Taken:

    1. Cleared Browser Cache and Cookies: This didn’t resolve the issue.
    2. Tried Uploading from Different Browsers: The problem persists across multiple browsers.
    3. Used Browser’s Built-in File Uploader: Attempting to upload media through the browser’s file uploader didn’t work either.

    What I Haven’t Tried:

    1. Changing File Permissions: I don’t have access to FTP, so I can’t modify file permissions directly.
    2. Contacting Hosting Service: I don’t have login access to the hosting service, so I haven’t reached out to them yet.

    Additional Information:

    • The images I am trying to upload are small in size, so file size shouldn’t be an issue.
    • I have not recently installed or updated any plugins or themes that might conflict with the media uploader.
    • The issue is affecting all new image uploads, not just specific files.

    I’m looking for any ideas or steps I can take to resolve this issue on my own via the WordPress dashboard. Do I really need access to FTP or hosting services to fix this, or is there a way to resolve it within WordPress itself? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    I’d go and ask your host first – it might just be that there is no disk space left on your hosting account, which leads to incomplete uploads…

    So in the end I have to contact the hosting service, will try and see if they can help me even though I don’t have the hosting’s account access ??
