Can’t upload images – browser cache issue?

I can’t upload images anymore. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with my computer browser settings.

When I click on the “add image” icon while writing a post, I get the pop-up box that says “choose file to upload”. But when I click on that, nothing happens.

I first had this problem on my desktop a month or so ago, but I was able to upload images on my laptop. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I started having the same issue on my laptop.

I’ve read a number of posts about image upload issues and read the page mentioned in response to many of these. On that page, browser cache was mentioned and then it occurred to me that I’ve had to clear my browser cache, first on my desktop and then, more recently, on my laptop for a page-viewing problem. So I’m thinking this could be the culprit.

What can I do to restore my ability to upload images? It’s a necessity for my blog!
