Can’t upload images

I’m a little POed and frustrated right now.

I just tried to upload some pics to a new gallery but they don’t work. The pics themselves work but when trying to upload them to a gallery they just show up as a grey box.

I’ve uploaded some pics to other galleries a couple days ago with no issue, but because I have literally thousands of pics to go through I wanted to take a break. Now when I try creating a new gallery with these other pics, they just don’t work.

If anyone can give me suggestions on what to try, that would be appreciated.
