  • You probably need to change permissions on the folders. I don’t do this myself (because it’s such a security hole, setting folders to 777), so I can’t tell you exactly what you need to change; it depends on your setup….

i changed permision to 777 for the following folders

    under /public_html/wp-content/ “uploads”

    and “2007” and “2006”

but still i get the same error ?? wat to do?

Unfortunately, the “parent directory” is wp-content and it also has to be set to 777.

i gave 777 to “wp-conyent” also but still same error

“The uploaded file could not be moved to .”

any one out there to help me out ??

    i m waiting please help me ??

have you set “Store uploads in this folder” from Options –> Miscellaneous??

if you haven’t set it, then set the permission of the directory 777

Chris’s solution worked for me. Thank you Chris.
