First, I am very clueless – so bear with me! I want to enable Multisite. As instructed, I added the proper code in the proper location.
PROBLEM: I cannot upload the edited wp-config.php file to my site – permission denied.
    1. I used the host provided WordPress(WP) installer.
    2. I have not enabled any add-ons.
    2. I use FileZilla to FTP.
    3. I have my database info, user, password. I logged into the database ok.
    4. According to the site host folks I have the permissions.

If it seems too complicated for me to deal with, in your opinion, be honest…I am a big girl.

  • In FileZilla, try a right-click on your current wp-config.php at the server and see what permission settings show up. I know nothing about changing them or what they should be, but maybe that particular file needs a different setting.

Thank you very much! I was able to change permissions.
A good thing – nothing is broken…bummer – nothing changed. No Multisite network options.
