First — I’m confused! I just installed the EasyRecipe plugin for my site. I assumed I was installing the latest version, but it says my version is 3.5.3208 (which is not even an option in the Version dropdown menu for creating this topic)! Can you explain, and also let me know if I should update it?

Second — I was under the impression that I could upload a photo on the free version. I read several reviewer complaints that they couldn’t post a photo without paying for the Plus version, but each time, they got the response that indeed they COULD. But every time I click on “insert image”, a window pops up that says “This feature is available in EasyRecipe Plus.”

Can you help me? Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

The version it asks for when you post here in the support forum is the WordPress version you are using on your blog, not the plugin version. The latest version of EasyRecipe is indeed 3.5.3208

The free version will automatically pick up and use the first image it finds in the post as the “recipe image” (i.e. the image that will be marked up for Google rich snippets and also used in the recipe if the recipe style you select does display an image). On the free version, you can change the image that EasyRecipe will select as long as the image you want to use is already in the post. To select a different image, click on the image in the post editor and select “edit” (the pencil icon). Under “Advanced options”, add the word “photo” to the “Image CSS Class” field. If there is already something in that field, separate “photo” from whatever is there with a space.

    Jayce53 —

First — DUH. I’m sorry re: the version question. My fault for not reading carefully.

Second — thanks for the explanation. What’s weird is, I had chosen the recipe style with a photo on it, but I guess I didn’t properly save it, and that’s why it wasn’t working. It’s working now!

Third — thank you for the fast response. Really appreciate it and am liking the plugin a lot so far!
