• I keep getting an error & can’t update my WP?

The plugin that doesnt work & also can’t update is my wp-e-commerce/wp-shopping-cart

I had to disable plugins to get into my dashboard at all b/c a fatal error (tried everything to fix that, but it has to be my wp & the shopping cart plugin that is giving off the errors)

    Host is using
    MySQL 5.1.56 and Php 5.2.17

When I try to update wp I get this error
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4247664 bytes) in /home/sobebot/public_html/wp-includes/class-http.php on line 1402

The ecommerce one it usually just keeps on running

Thank you ?? That helps a great deal.

You’re running out of memory for PHP to run that command.

You can try turning OFF your plugins while you update them, or doing ti manually. Likely, the ecommerce app is keeping your PHP memory usage too high to run it, and the upgrade, at the same time.

I have some sort of memory usage issue. My host says I have a 16g php limit (checked if it was that) & the versions of software they have installed at the moment.

    I added/updated code to places like php.ini, wp-settings, etc. I have tried from 32 to 64 to 128 & even up to 256

All the other plugins updated perfectly except that one. When I’m in I have to disable that before I get in, even then it won’t allow me to update & gives me that error. Is there another way to do it (or how is it done manually?)

Thank you soooooo much for the help. I am not good at this stuff at all. I have been reading & reading all over for weeks & keep trying all the new steps I find & nothing is working properly. When the wp-ecommerce is there I can’t login at all (get an error too)

I also tried to even activate it (since it’s not activated) & it said this

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/sobebot/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-admin/ajax-and-init.php on line 1053

Is there any way to fix this? I have tried for weeks, when not updating I can’t get into my admin either with error

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/sobebot/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 924

I’ve tried every single fix from the forums here updating to larger sizes (64, 128 & even 256) etc
