Cant Update to WP 4.2.2

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the default theme for your version of WordPress to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I have tried deactivating all plugins and switching to the default theme. It did not work. The same thing happened.

I contacted tech support with my web host (hosting matters) and they updated WP for me. The tech support person said, “The toggle for updating must be on FTP only (versus SFTP – they don’t recognize the port we run that on).”
