• Hello, whenever I try to update my wordpress site I get this browser error: “This webpage is not available”.

Is there any way to trace the issue so I can solve it?
I also have “Backup wordpress” plugin installed and when I try to do a backup it just never completes so I guess there’s something wrong with the installation.

    Here’s the site: https://www.archeage-hellas.eu

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

I just tried to switch to the default theme to see if the update will start and got the same issue. Then I tried to use plugins.deactivate from FTP to see if that’s causing it and now I am left with a blank when I enter the site although it was working.

    Also getting this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare twentytwelve_setup() (previously declared in /home/a2175721/public_html/wp-content/themes/ArcheAge/functions.php:60) in /home/a2175721/public_html/wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/functions.php on line 77

You need to do all of those steps.

Will my theme/database work after the upgrade? It’s a custom theme so I don’t want to lose all the work done on it.

Your database should update just fine.

It’s based on the twenty twelve theme though, just modified.
