Can’t update the site.

  • Starting last week, I had issues updating the site and it’s plugins. (Slow response)

    Now I get a message on the dashboard that reads
    An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update

    But when I try or I try to update the plugins, the site goes white and displays the message: Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute

    I just figured out how to remove that but the failure message is still there. What can I do to fix this?

  • Make a back-up of your site first. When you have FTP-access to your server of the website, please try to upload the latest version (of the plugins and WordPress) from this website.

    Maybe you can try to reinstall the actual WordPress version from your Dashboard –> Updates. After that, update your plugins and WordPress core if this works for you.
