I’ve been trying to update my static front page content for a couple of hours (just updating some text to a single-page website). I’ve published / updated the page but the changes aren’t appearing on the live desktop site (Chrome, Edge, and a friend’s browser who has never loaded the page before—I’ve also cleared all cookies and browsing history). It has, however, updated on the mobile site (Chrome, Android).

I’ve got WP Super Cache installed, and have both emptied and disabled. I’ve also emptied Varnish (but the Varnish Status window suggests Varnish is not active on the domain).

I have created a new version of the static front page and republished. I’ve also activated the Twenty Sixteen theme, but again, no change. In spite of the fact the old version of the page doesn’t exist any more, that’s what is being delivered.

The site is hosted at Hostgator – https://www.swiftrivers.com.au

  • Do you also have a CDN in place?

Thanks – it’s possible, but only if included with default Hostgator options. Ie, nothing I’ve set up myself (I’m a beginner on a steep learning curve).

That said, I just disabled the cache option in the Hostgator manager, and suddenly the page is updated!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, really appreciated.
