Can’t update Plugins – Can’t get rid of Maintenance
-
Hello,
I have a problem with updating all plugins on my website. This problem has not been resolved for more than a week now. Every time when I am trying to updated plugins or even open plugins on my dashboard I am getting re-directed to a blank screen with the following messages:
” briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute. “
or “Update failed: Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute”.
or “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute”.
?or Update failed -1
I tried to delete .maintenance file from my FileManager – did not work, it re-appears every time when I am trying to update any of the plugins manually.
I contacted my provider. The answer was to contact WordPress – this was their detailed reply to my request to help :
“As for this please check in with wordpress first then let them know that plugins has been disabled and core files has been updated but the maintenance error is still showing please check the wordpress back end and if there is a need to update the php please send which configuration needed”
I am just a web designer, not a developer, please help. Thank you.
