Can't update Better WP Security

  • When I try to update the Better WP Security plugin via the WP admin, it gives me these error messages. I assume that perhaps the plugin has made the directory that it is trying to download to un-writeable, but I really don’t know how to proceed.

    These are the error messages>

  • Any insight into this error? I am having the exact same issue trying to upgrade to 3.5.5
