• Ok, this is a weird one for me. In IE7 for some reason I can not select the content field to insert my page content. In firefox I can, however when I click the hyperlink field I get a window that pops up empty and I can not close it which will force me to basically close down FF.

    HELP!!!

I did basic troubleshooting, turned off every security feature in IE and turn off Anti virus. Its funny cause if I have my mouse there when the page loads it will give me the I beam, but when it finishes I just get an arrow like it is just a unelectable table on the page.

  • I’m having the same problem. I have 2 wordpress databases on the same webhost, both run independently of eachother. My main one works perfectly, but the new one won’t allow me to select the “Page Content” field.

I can select and write in “Title” and “Tags,” but not the “Page Content” field. The selectable fields are grey while the “Page Content” field is white, if this helps any.

I had exactly the same symptom that I could not select the Page Content field of a Post or Page in order to enter text.

In my case the problem was that I had originally configured Options / General Options / WordPress URL with my numeric IP address and then switched it to a URL. I was still logging in with <IP_address>\wp-login.php rather than mydomain.com\wp-login.php. That confused WordPress, that sometimes it was referring to the IP address and sometimes the URL.

When I logged in with mysomdin.com\wp-login.php, then the problem was solved!

    Cheers
