I am perplexed by this issue.
I don’t know if it has anything to do with this theme (which I love, by the way), but I switched to it recently, so I’m starting troubleshooting with the latest changes.

It’s not a child theme – just the basic one.

The problem: I can’t type in “(” – the opening parenthesis. It’s not a line of code, just a simple paragraph in a post. When I type it in, at first, nothing happens. If I try more than once, the page becomes unresponsive and eventually logs me out WordPress. In fact, I think it partially crashes my site.

It’s as if it was a hotkey to some function.

Here’s the kicker. It only happens on this one post (in any of the paragraphs). I’ve tested using ( in another post and there is no issue.

Do you have any ideas what could be causing this?

    Hi @cyberkitto,

that’s super strange! I wasn’t able to replicate this on my end. Can you try to disable all plugins and turne them back on one by one to see when the issue comes up?

That should help us narrow it down and see if it’s related to any other plugin.

Also, do you get any errors in the browser console when this error occurs?

Thank you for your kind words, btw! ??

    Have a great day.
    David
