Can’t turn off rewrite titles

    So, I completed the Yoast SEO plugin’s setup wizard, and now everywhere I call wp_title(”); it shows up like “Page Name | Site Name”, whereas before it was only “Page Name”. I turned off force rewrite titles but nothing happens, still shows the same way.

    How can I revert this change while still using the plugin?

  • In order to better assist you, we’d need further information.

    • To solve the title issue, did you edit your theme files as described in this KB article or enable the Force a Rewrite option or both?
    • Does the variable %%sitename%% appear in the title templates under “SEO > Titles & Metas > Post Types”? If it does, you may want to remove it.
