Can't switch to visual after 3.8 update

Look under your user profile and see if the Visual editor is disabled there.

no it is not deactivated. I see the visual button but when I press it nothing happens.

Can you post a link to your site with ALL plugins deactivated and a default theme active?

I have exactly the same problem. It started with 3.7.1 and continues after I updated to 3.8 (this evening). I can edit in text mode but not visual mode. I have dumped cache and tried 2 computers with 4 different browsers. My user profile has not disabled visual editor. I have disabled all plugins and set to default WP theme at https://www.kiwanisofarlington.org. I still cannot edit in visual mode after any of these changes.

I have tried the following:
– deactivating all plugins
– switching to default theme
– renamed plugin folder to move all
– Reinstalled everything once again

None of it has worked.

Note. I have to change theme again now but please help anyone.

Try adding to your wp-config.php file –

define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);

add it right above this line (at the end)

/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
