This site has been closed for well over a year now, and I STILL keep getting Wordfence updates, even though the site no longer exists. Of course, when I click the link in the email (You can change the frequency of this email or turn it on and off by visiting your Wordfence options page.), nothing happens, because it no longer exists! How can I stop these notifications? It’s super annoying!!! Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @ssailer, thanks for getting in touch.

The alerts do come from your site rather than being triggered (or sent) from our servers. We’ve seen the problem you describe happen before when customers have changed hosts, or in some cases hosts have changed which server your site is hosted on but the original site is still active somewhere. The fact you’re receiving them at all seems to suggest this is a similar situation.

I would contact your previous host or server administrator, describe what’s happening, and ensure that your site contents will be completely removed on request.

Let us know if you find out anything else along the way that we may be able to assist with,
    Peter.

Edit: The exception to this is if you ever added the site to Wordfence Central, in which case you’ll need to log in there and disconnect the site. If you’ve lost your login credentials, contact lockout @ wordfence . com and provide the email/account associated with the site so we can help you out!
