Can't skip line in text widgets

This is a really weird problem. For some reason, I think since I’ve last updated WordPress, I can’t skip a line when I’m typing in any text on the widgets. I press the enter key and it stays on the same line.

I can’t imagine a use for this if it was done on purpose, especially if you’re trying to type some code. I don’t want to write a bunch of code next to each other. That looks awful.
