• Im new to WordPress. (Still)

Im simply trying to insert a photo from my Media Library into a page.
I CAN NOT get the photo to be the size I want it to be no matter what I try.

I have tried to set the settings for thumbnail size to the dimensions I want.
I can set them successfully but when I go to insert an image, the option for “Large” is grayed out and not usable.
The option for Actual size is too large.
And when I tried to change the size for thumbnails, that didnt work either.
Nothing does what it’s supposed to here.

I have wasted a ton of time on this.
For a system that is supposed to be so easy, this is proving to be nothing but a disappointment.

    Is there a solution?
How do you size the photo to the size you want it.

  • If you tried changing the default sizes *after* uploading the image, WordPress will not resize the image again. Only when it’s initially uplaoded. You can crop and edit the image from the visual editor manually, or you can delete the item and re-upload it with the new dimensions set and re-generate the thumbnail.

If you tried changing the default sizes *after* uploading the image, WordPress will not resize the image again.

    Thanks Guys.
    I’ll try your suggestions.

Why is the option for Large size grayed out?
(I am able to select Small and Actual size but not Large.)
    Weird.

The full size image is probably smaller than the dimensions entered for Large size.
