Cant sign in after new installation

    Hello
    I am having problems signing in on a new wordpress istallation. I have already downloaded and reinstalled wordpress but still cant sign in after the new installation is complete.

    I ve noticed that there is no .htaccess file inside the wordpress folder does anyone know if that could be the problem?

    I am using WAMP server and windows 7.

    By the way… im new to wordpress…

    I would really appreciate if anyone could help.

    Yep, still the same error…

    The blank page with the wordpress logo is still showing up on this url:
    http ://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php?step=2

    Nothing odd happened… The installation started, i entered the details and that page showed up without any sign of error.

    I did a couple of installations yesterday just to practice a few things and everything went fine…

    Do you have any idea of what could be happening?

    Everything is ok now… i tried once again and this time looks like it s ok, the tables are fine and everything seems to be working.

    My guess is that you were getting a PHP or MySQL execution timeout, but it is hard to say.

    Maybe that was the problem…
    Trying a few times solved the problem, i was about to give up.
