I had to disable the plugin because it doesnt work.

I’m not sure if there is something I am missing as the fields don’t actually show up on my product page but they are definitely preventing me from adding the product to my cart because the field has not been filled out. (cant see it to do that) I assume this may be a theme compatibility issue more than it is one of setup error on my part. So how would I go about correcting that?

I also do not understand adding the “group fields” from the woocommerce/product fields section once I add it there how would I use it? because I dont see an option to attach it to a product. I only see a way to create a single one under the page where you create and edit your product. The documentation instructions really dont make sense.

    Hi @missodessa

Our plugin has 2 methods of attaching fields to products:

    1) Via the WordPress admin menu WooCommerce → Product Fields.
    2) Via each product’s Edit Product screen.

If you use method 2) you should immediately see the fields on the product page. If you use method 1), you’ll notice there is a “conditions” box where you can set on which products these fields should appear (see screenshot: https://i.snipboard.io/vdL2zE.jpg).

If you have used either of those methods and you don’t see the fields on your product pages, then it could indeed be a theme compatibility issue. To test that, you can briefly switch to one of the default themes to check if your product fields appear on the product page.

Let me know how it goes ??

Thank you so much for the response.

I reactivated the plugin switched the theme to the “twenty twenty” theme and it seems to show up now so it is indeed an issue with theme compatibility. Is there some bit of code I need to add to actually make it show up since the theme Im using has obviously formatted their single product pages to look/work a certain way?

I am using a theme from themeforest called dorian.

    Hi @missodessa

It sounds like your theme is overwriting the single product template from WooCommerce and they forgot to include some hooks. Our plugin needs the standard woocommerce_before_add_to_cart_button hook to display fields in the product pages.

You best contact your theme support to find out :-).
