Can’t set event date older than 5 years

  • As @dcgavril pointed out here,

    we can’t set event date older than 5 years and this issue prevent us to display important events to both search engines and users.

    Is there any workaround?

    We tried what @abzlevelup pointed out here but it’s not working.

    Hi there,

    Sorry about the trouble you are having here, however I would like to clarify something, are you trying to edit events that are already created to change their start dates to a different date? On my own Test Sandboxes I am able to select any date I want really when creating an Event.

    Or are you trying to display older events in the calendar?

    It sounds like you are using Block Editor.
    Our apologies for this limitation.

    Until this gets fix, we do have a couple of workarounds:

    1. Import past events using a CSV file OR
    2. Disable Block Editor in Events > Settings > General – that will let you create past events with Classic Editor. Once you are done, you can reactivate Block Editor (and tweak your past events if need be)
