• Hi,
    I have a site with woocommerce 2.4.7.
I have 3 payment gateways – cheque, paypal and a local gateway.
I want the local gateway to be the default so I dragged it to be first. I t does appear first on the checkout page but the paypal option is selected.
The only way I managed to make the local option as default is if I disable paypal.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Tal

If its top, its default. The only reason you’re not seeing it selected is because you already had a session.

if you try as a guest in a new browser it should be selected first?

    Thanks,but it doesn’t work.
I tried chrome incognito and explorer (where had no sessions) and paypal is still the default.
    The site is victorinox.co.il

Is local pickup available initially, or just after providing an address?

local pickup is available before providing an address.
What does local pickup have to do with payment gateways?

Sorry, I misread. I mean, is the local gateway always available, or only to certain countries?

The whole store is limited to Israel, not the local gateway

If the gateways are always available, then there is nothing to break it. First displayed = default. Tested and working on my stores.
