Can’t send forgot password email

  • Hi! I have wordpress on a closed local intranet (localhost) and i don’t know why, but i tested the forgot my password thing and when i put my username and email in, it said:

    The e-mail could not be sent.
    Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…

    Can anyone please give me a REALLY detailed resaon?
