Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all other plugins.

In the “from” field, I removed the address and put in [your-email] and that fixed it. However, it does say a configuration warning now.

This site does not have email addresses ending in the domain, as Contact Form 7 now requires for validation. That appears to be what the problem was and it’s now solved.
