    Hello
    I have already sent my first newsletter and everything went fine.
    Now I’m designing my second one but I can’t send preview (or even send the newsletter to the mailing list in which I am the only subscriber).
    No error message appears, everything seems to go perfectly well but no mail is sent (or received). I have tried multiple mail addresses and the results are the same.
    I’ve tried the “test email settings” button and got the “Email was successfully sent, your settings are working!” answer. But no mail received either.
    This problem has been lasting for two days.
    Am I the only one experiencing such a situation ?
    Thank you

    Great, I’m glad to hear it’s going well.

    If the “Send Preview” isn’t working, can you please go to Newsletters > Configuration and turn on debugging on the right-hand side. Then go to Newsletters > Configuration > General > General Mail Settings and click on the “Test Email Settings” button to test the email settings?

    I look forward to your response with more details on that once you’ve tested.

    Thank you for your answer; I activated the “debugging mode”.
    I tried the test email settings. There is no error message but no email is sent (I tried 5 different email addresses, Gmail, hotmail, …).

    Don’t know what to do.

    Thank you.

    Hello
    That’s strange because, after I tried an SMTP server (with a host, username and password), I could send again mails but only 200/300 a day …
    Anyway, thank you again for the support.

    I’m glad to hear that using SMTP allowed you to send emails.

    What happens after it sent 200/300 emails? Do the rest just remain in the queue? Can you ask the hosting provider if there is an hourly/daily/weekly/monthly sending limit?

    I look forward to your response.

    Hello
    Yes, the rest of the emails remains in the queue. I don’t think there is a daily sending limit, as it sent much more mails the first time.
    I click on “run now” from time to time to “wake up” the system (it responds that the process is already on or, sometimes, it sends back a very strange message looking like that -I dotted some parts- : …

    CLIENT -> SERVER: EHLO https://www.lescahier……vation.com
    CLIENT -> SERVER: AUTH LOGIN
    CLIENT -> SERVER: cG……………..ub3RlYm9vay1pbm5vdmF0aW9uLmNvbQ==
    CLIENT -> SERVER: T………..No
    CLIENT -> SERVER: MAIL FROM:<jea….ac@les……….on.com>
    CLIENT -> SERVER: RCPT TO:<samuel……..@ar….com>
    CLIENT -> SERVER: DATA
    CLIENT -> SERVER: Date: Wed, 28 Dec 2016 17:13:23 +0000

    18 emails have been sent out
    CLIENT -> SERVER: QUIT)

    Hoping this helps …

    Best regards

    The debugging/messages you see is SMTP debugging. It shows because you have debugging turned on under Newsletters > Configuration in the plugin on the right-hand side. So that’s okay, it’s just debugging output.

    If you click “Run Now” and it seems to process, I suspect that there may be limited traffic, preventing the WordPress cron from running on time. Is that possible that there may not be traffic on the website at periods, causing the WordPress cron to stall and get behind?

    Please consider this to change out your WordPress cron for a real server cron job: https://tribulant.com/blog/wordpress/replace-wordpress-cron-with-real-cron-for-site-speed/

    If the problems persist, can you please open a ticket with us? https://tribulant.com/support/

    I look forward to your response.

    Hello
    thank you for your answer.
    I have around 500 visits a day in this quiet period of christmas. I don’t know if it’s enough for the WP cron to work properly.
    I will consider changing for the real server cron job, if nothing improves soon.
    I wish you a happy new year.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything.
