After the Woocommerce 4.4.1 update all products default to vendor ADMIN. In the product EDIT page, the VENDOR listbox is empty, there is no selection possible.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

Could you please proceed in checking the issue by referring to our debugging guide? – https://docs.wcvendors.com/knowledge-base/the-debugging-guide/

It seems that this is only currently isolated within your website as we cannot replicate it from our end. Let us know if we can provide you further assistance afterwards. Have a nice day!

Sorry for the late reply. I have narrowed the problem down to a three characters vendor name. It may also not be related to the 4.4.1 update. It did also not result in all products defaulting to admin (I just added new products as admin and could not change the vendor to my 3 character name vendor)

If the vendor name has 3 characters nothing will show up. The list box needs more characters to search/find a name.
My vendors names with more than 3 characters can be found and selected as normal.

    Thanks

Should I make the “3 characters vendor name can not be used” a new topic?

    Hi @gsd01

Thanks, that won’t be necessary, the 4 (3 letters and space) characters is a limit we set in the select library we are using. We will need to add a filter so that you can change the minimum input length to what you want. The reason why we chose 3 is related to performance. If you set this to 1 or 2 then the search code will be triggered too early and could result in performance problems and too many ajax calls.

I would suggest setting a minimum username length if you can. We’ll also add a filter so this can be changed via a filter.

    cheers,

    Jamie

    Thanks Jamie,
That solves it for me. I probably won’t use the filter but I’ll make sure the vendor display name is at least 4 chars…
