• Since I deactivate and removed the plugin of copyright proof (Digiprove) I can’t select and copy text at my website anymore. I’m not totally sure it’s because of the plugin but maybe it didn’t deactivate everything. Maybe it’s something else.

I reinstalled the plugin and changed settings to allow copying text without any result. Than I deactivate and removed it again.

I deactivated all plugins and tried after clearing the cache, without any result. Step by step turning the plugins on and testing without any result.

Can someone help me please sorting this out? My website is https://bit.ly/2CZ3Xjp I’m not sure it’s allowed to share links here that’s why I used a link shortener.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

1-if this is the plugin that is having trouble, I suggest contacting plugin suppor team

    2-might also be helpful
install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme
might help narrow down the source of the issue

Thanks for the comment and I’ll contact the plugin developers but I’m not sure if that’s the problem. Other plugins seems to have some errors too. I’ll install the health check plugin but most important for the moment is that I can select and copy text again.

I had an answer from the developer and it’s not the plugin:

Hi runfun. I had a look at your home page. For sure Copyright Proof is not installed (as you state yourself). WordPress is excellent at ensuring that deactivated plugins are completely ignored. The custom options recorded in the WordPress db by Copyright Proof are all prefixed with “dprv_” which will not be recognised by any other plugin or theme. So I am certain that Copyright Proof is not your culprit.

However I noticed quite a few javascript errors in your home page, including unbalanced tree created by document.write commands. Such errors will at the very least stop the execution of js that immediately follows, which will lead to difficult to diagnose conditions.

So I suggest you eliminate these errors (or the libraries or plugins that cause them) before anything else.

I’ve no idea how I can solve this because my skills of coding are low. I also removed all inactive plugins, etc. and try to troubleshoot… no solution.

The problem is solved, there was a tiny piece of script left somehow that prevented copying text.

    Hi Runfun,

Do you mind sharing some details on your solution?
I have a website where I can’t copy some text. I didn’t install any plugin that would protect the content.

    Thank you.
